Liberal Democrat Shadow Health Secretary & North Norfolk MP, Norman Lamb has highlighted his set of proposals aimed at reforming out-of-hours care, put forward in conjunction with the sons of David Gray who was tragically killed by an out-of-hours doctor.

Norman Lamb, member of parliament for North Norfolk and Lib Dem Shadow Secretary of Health received a cardiovascular health check on Tuesday at the House of Commons where he/she welcomed the Primary Care Cardiovascular Society (PCCS) and HEART UK's call for cardiovascular health checks to be made available in every PCT in England.

Commenting on today's report from the British Medical Journal which reveals a high rate of drug errors during treatment of children in hospital, Liberal Democrat Shadow Health Secretary & North Norfolk MP, Norman Lamb said:

Patients with serious and long-term health conditions in Norfolk are being denied life-prolonging drugs because of a shortage of medication. The fall in the value of the pound has created a market for wholesalers to sell drugs at a higher price in other countries, resulting in short supply in the UK.

Up to 1.7m pensioners will miss out on Cold Weather Payments triggered by the recent weather, according to analysis of Government figures by the Liberal Democrats.
