More good news with increased community funding
Our Councillors are thrilled to be able to confirm that the work of the new administration continues apace as they follow through our commitment to increase support for our communities.
Following agreement by cabinet members, the proposal to double the Ward Member Grant Fund was presented and voted through at the full council meeting on Thursday 27th July.
This was one of two good news items for Broadland's local communities as the proposal to set up a Community Grant Fund was also given the green light and work is underway to set the fund in motion.
Councillor Steve Riley in presenting the proposals said:
"This decision demonstrates our commitment to empowering Broadland’s communities and promoting positive change from the ground up. By doubling our Members' Ward grant funding and introducing the Community Grant Fund Panel, we are laying the groundwork for a more resilient and thriving district. I’m delighted that we will be able to better help community-led projects flourish and make a lasting difference in the lives of our residents."
