Broadland Lib Dems are celebrating their success in gaining 2 more seats at the District Council on 4th May 2023.

The results leave the council with a mixed membership of: 21 Conservative, 14 Liberal Democrats, 8 Labour and 4 Green party.

Group leader Sue Holland says "I'm so proud of our campaigners and new councillors and I know they will be a great support for their communities. Now we are looking forward to finding a way to get the new council working.

It's clear the residents of Broadland have rejected the Conservatives and we will be looking to work with other parties to build a new outlook for us all. It's a very exciting time and a huge opportunity for us to be Best for Broadland and put our residents first by beginning to put into action the policies we outlined in our manifesto."

The results were close in several other seats too, in some of which the Liberal Democrats were within 40 votes of winning. This gives great hope for the future.

Huge thanks to everyone who helped our campaign, to those who supported us and to all of those who voted for our candidates.
